“El Hill” Los Coyotes 2002

Id heard about this hill for many years and always wanted to see what the big deal was. Well I found out. My Bronco had visited the site before but I ranked out since the guy before me (Tiger and halfcab) did a nice  pirouette 1/2 up and rolled pretty hard. The next time I was out with my bro’s from SoCalBroncos, I promised myself I would give it a shot. See what happens when the wrong line is picked and what I did to get my rig back on all four.
Choosing a bad line and recovery effort
Bronco was running great, confidence was high
Picked the wrong line and was fighting the deep rut
Start sliding, steer into t and floor it
No dice, rear tire sunk into hole, front end came up and back I went
View from above, good thing it stopped or I woulda been in big trouble
Terry and his super strong forearm keeping the Bronco from moving :)
Now how the hell do we get it out. Wisely, no one volunteered to hookup
Found an old tree way up above and decided it would have to do
Lots of inspectors came to comment
Plenty of SoCal Bros handy for help and moral support
Dave Chick and Eric Hargis assisting with the straps
One line to the tree and one to the fellas. Good to go.
Okay now time to get back in and buckle up! Weak.
Brotherhood
Line in until touching down carefully
Once on all four, slowly started releasing the line until stable
The guys are still keeping tension laterally so I don’t fall back over
Let the oil settle and hit the ignition. EFI fired right up, love that!
Back down and change my undies. Actually filled with fluids and went back up. To the top this time!
Heres the view from the side...
Very minimal damage considering it was laying on its side... tough.
